A mini thread lift, despite its name, does not result in a lift. They are small, thin threads that are placed under the skin in selected areas. This creates powerful collagen stimulation and can help smooth out wrinkles. Common areas to treat are smoke lines around the mouth, laugh lines on the cheek or wrinkles under the eyes.

A regular thread lift creates the traditional ”lift”. The threads are slightly coarser and contain small hooks (barbs) that attach to the skin. These threads are then pulled backwards to create a lift.

After treatment, the area may feel a little tight, especially when making certain movements/grimaces.

In some cases, there may be small creases in the skin, which usually even out after 1-2 weeks. Slight soreness may occur but is not significant.

As bruising may occur and you may need to tape the puncture holes, it may feel good to go home and rest after the treatment. It is perfectly fine to work the day after treatment if you need to.

A thread lift treatment is relatively risk-free. Bruising and slight swelling may occur after treatment. In rare cases, you may get an infection in the area, especially if you don't take care of the aftercare.

You should be healthy and not be on any blood-thinning or immunological medication. You should also not have active acne, infection or severe scars in the area to be treated.

After a wire lift, we want the wires to weave together with the skin, so you need to avoid all exercise for at least 1 week. For up to a month, you may want to do some light exercise, and avoid dental appointments where you need to open wide for a long time.

Make-up should be avoided immediately after treatment. If you need to apply make-up over bruises in the days after treatment, this needs to be done very gently and with as little force as possible.
