The face of Hyala
With Hyalas for the face, we can dissolve old filler that has migrated, become uneven or created lumps under the skin. The treatment is also suitable for those who want to ”reset” their starting point and then build up a new result in a more harmonious and controlled way.
The treatment itself is quick: the hyalase is injected directly into the area where the filler is located, and starts breaking down within a few hours. Usually, you will see a major effect within 24 hours, but the process continues for up to two weeks. We therefore recommend that you wait at least 14 days before injecting any new filler.
Immediately after treatment, swelling and sometimes bruising are common, but this passes within a few days. Most people experience a marked improvement after the first visit.
Hyala's body
For those who have fillers in their body - for example, buttocks, hips or other areas - we offer a stronger and larger pack of Hyalas. It is specifically designed to break down larger amounts of hyaluronic acid and is suitable if you have been treating yourself for a long time or have more extensive fillers in your body.
The effect is the same as for the face: the filler gradually dissolves and disappears. Often, one treatment is enough, but in some cases - especially for long-term treatments or fillers with a tougher composition - more sessions may be needed.
Hyalas is the right treatment for you if:
- Has been wrongly treated and wants to correct the result.
- Has filler migrated outside the original area.
- Have accumulated small lumps or hard lumps under your skin.
- Want to remove larger amounts of filler on face or body.

The treatment always starts with a consultation, where we go through your starting point, your goals and which filler to dissolve. Hyalas is then injected directly into the treated area. The results are often visible within the first 24 hours, but you will see the full effect after about two weeks. After treatment, you may experience temporary swelling and bruising. This is completely normal and can be covered with make-up.

Many people get by with one treatment, but if you've been treating the same area for many years or with more long-lasting fillers, you may need more sessions for a complete result.
A common concern is that a Hyalase treatment, especially in the lips, will hurt. In the past, many patients found this uncomfortable, but today there are much better ways to minimise the pain.
At NYOclinic, we mix Hyalase with a local anaesthetic (the same type used by dentists), which makes the treatment much smoother and virtually painless. You can therefore feel confident that the experience will be comfortable, even in sensitive areas like the lips.
