Botox for Trapezius

It is a simple and quick procedure that should not take longer than 20 minutes to perform. Consultation should always be booked before a visit and can be done by phone or in person.

We feel the tension and mark the injection areas on your shoulder when you arrive for your appointment. Then we inject the appropriate Botox units into the marked areas. The number of units we use depends on your physical size, treatment goals, and muscle size.

Once we've finished the injections, you're done and ready to go home.

There is no downtime after Botox, so you don't need to schedule time away from work.

However, it is important not to perform strenuous physical activity or exercise for 24-48 hours after Botox treatments.

4-5 injection points are required on average per side. These injections are placed at the nerve points supplying the trapezius muscle.

At least 40 -50 units of Botox are required for trapezius. There are other factors that your doctor will discuss with you that will determine how much you need, depending on your treatment goals.

The results of Botox for the trapezius take effect approximately one week to ten days after treatment. At most, it can take up to 4 weeks for the trapezius muscles to relax and lose their tightness.
