Treatment for sweating
Some people suffer from excessive sweating, known as hyperhidrosis. This can cause problems in everyday life as people are constantly stressed by being in situations where they sweat.
People with hyperhidrosis usually sweat profusely without physical activity. Fortunately, sweating can be treated with Botox.
Even people who do not suffer from excessive sweating can benefit from the treatment, especially in the armpits, where sweat in summer ruins clothes and the like.

Does Botox work against sweating?
What it does. Botox for sweating works by blocking nerve signals that go to the sweat glands. This is done locally where we inject Botox into areas that have a lot of sweat glands.
The sweat glands are then not signalled to produce sweat, and the treated area remains dry.
After treatment
After treatment with Botox for sweating, avoid exercise, saunas, solariums, spas and massages for the first 24 hours. Also, do not use any creams or deodorants in the area for the first 24 hours to reduce the risk of infection.
Risks of botox hyperhidrosis
The risks of the treatment are few and transient. As with all injection treatments, there may be some minor bruising and soreness after treatment, but this is relatively rare. Allergy to the substance botulinum toxin is very rare.
A Botox treatment for sweating costs SEK 4990 per area, i.e. either the soles of the feet, palms or armpits. Both sides are included in the price. It also includes follow-up after 2-4 weeks if you feel that the treatment has not given adequate effect.
