BioRePeel in Gothenburg – for skin texture, pores, pigmentation and a healthy glow
Would you like to improve your skin’s texture and radiance without the severe flaking often associated with traditional chemical peels?
At NYOclinic in Gothenburg, we offer BioRePeel, a professional treatment that combines several active ingredients to address skin texture, pores, post-acne marks, pigmentation and dull skin – usually with a short recovery time.
We usually describe BioRePeel as ”a peel without the peeling”.

BioRePeel for pores and uneven skin texture
This is one of the areas where we believe BioRePeel is particularly well suited.
Through its combination of exfoliating and revitalising ingredients, the treatment works on the skin’s outermost layer and promotes cell renewal.
The result is often that the skin gradually feels smoother, clearer and more moisturised, whilst the appearance of pores may be improved.
BioRePeel may therefore be a good option for those who do not necessarily have a specific skin problem but find their skin feels rough, uneven or dull.
BioRePeel for acne and post-acne conditions
BioRePeel may also be an option for blemished and acne-prone skin.
Among other things, the treatment contains salicylic acid, a fat-soluble acid often used in skincare products for oily and blemish-prone skin.
In cases of post-acne, the treatment can help to improve uneven skin tone and superficial marks.
Deeper acne scars, on the other hand, usually require other treatments, such as Dermapen, Sylfirm X RF microneedling, subcision or fractional laser.
That is why we distinguish between active acne, post-acne marks and genuine acne scars when recommending treatment.
BioRePeel for pigmentation
BioRePeel can also be used to treat superficial pigmentation and uneven skin tone.
Through exfoliation and increased cell renewal, the skin can gradually become clearer and more even.
However, in cases of more pronounced pigmentation issues or melasma, we often recommend a more specific pigmentation treatment, such as MeLine, following an individual assessment.
Not all brown patches are the same type of pigmentation and should therefore not be treated in the same way.
Does BioRePeel give you a glow?
Yes – and that’s one of the reasons why the treatment has become so popular.
By removing build-up of dead skin cells and stimulating skin renewal, the skin can achieve a clearer, smoother and more radiant finish.
BioRePeel is therefore also ideal for times when you simply want to give your skin a refresh.
Peel without the peeling – does your skin flake after a BioRePeel?
BioRePeel tends to cause significantly less visible flaking than many traditional chemical peels, which is why it is sometimes described as a ”peel without the peeling”.
However, the expression should not be taken literally.
BioRePeel contains active acids and, following treatment, the skin may become:
- light red
- dry
- tight
- more sensitive than usual
- slightly flaky
The extent to which the skin reacts varies from person to person.
The advantage is that most people can get back to their normal daily routine quickly and that the treatment does not usually involve the severe skin peeling associated with certain traditional peels.
How does a BioRePeel treatment work?
The skin is first cleansed thoroughly before BioRePeel is applied to the treatment area.
The product is left to take effect in accordance with the treatment protocol and is then removed. The treatment is concluded with tailored aftercare and sun protection.
The treatment itself is relatively quick and does not require any anaesthetic.
You may experience a slight tingling or warming sensation whilst the product is on your skin.
How many BioRePeel treatments are needed?
You can have a one-off BioRePeel whenever you want to give your skin an extra glow and a refresh.
If, on the other hand, you want to tackle issues such as pores, skin texture, post-acne or pigmentation more actively, a course of treatment is often recommended.
Usually, around 3–4 treatments are carried out at intervals of a few weeks, but the number is tailored to the individual’s skin and treatment goals.
What should I bear in mind after a BioRePeel treatment?
After the treatment, the skin barrier is temporarily more sensitive.
We therefore recommend that you:
- uses good sun protection
- avoids strong sunlight and sunbeds
- thoroughly moisturises the skin
- avoid strong acids and retinoids during the first few days
- avoid scrubbing or picking at any flaking
You will be given personalised aftercare advice as part of your treatment.
When should you not have a BioRePeel treatment?
BioRePeel is not suitable for everyone.
Treatment should, for example, be postponed in the event of an active infection, open wounds or severely irritated skin in the treatment area.
Please always tell us about any medicines, skin conditions or strong skincare products you are using so that we can assess whether the treatment is suitable.
BioRePeel or microneedling?
It depends on what you want to treat.
BioRePeel focuses primarily on the skin’s surface, cell renewal, pores, superficial pigmentation and radiance.
Microneedling works at a deeper level by creating controlled microchannels and stimulating the skin’s repair process. It may therefore be a better option in cases such as more pronounced textural issues and acne scars.
In some treatment plans, different methods may be used at different stages.
Is BioRePeel suitable for darker skin?
Skin type and susceptibility to pigmentation must always be taken into account when assessing a patient for a chemical peel.
People with darker skin or skin that is highly prone to pigmentation are at greater risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) if their skin becomes severely irritated.
We therefore tailor the treatment and aftercare to each individual and, where necessary, choose a different pigment treatment.
