The best treatment is the one that suits you and your needs. We are all different, and Dr Nina offers many different treatments so everyone can find something that suits them.
This is Profhilo
Profhilo is an innovative skin treatment that uses a high concentration of stabilised hyaluronic acid to restore the skin's moisture balance and counteract ageing. It stimulates the skin's own production of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin, resulting in firmer, more radiant skin. The treatment is performed by injections on specific points of the face and gives visible results already after the first treatment. For best results, two treatments are recommended, four weeks apart. The results, which include more moisturised, rejuvenated and firmer skin, usually last for six to eight months. Profhilo is popular with customers thanks to its effectiveness and minimal recovery time.
Microtox
Microtox is a type of Botox treatment, but it differs from traditional Botox in several ways. Unlike regular Botox, which is injected deeper into the muscles to reduce wrinkles, Microtox is applied to the outermost layer of the skin using a stamping technique with small gold-plated needles. This method does not affect the muscles or facial expression to the same extent as regular Botox. Instead, microtox focuses on improving the appearance of the skin by providing increased radiance, moisture and a ”glow” effect. The treatment combines small amounts of Botox with hyaluronic acid and vitamins, resulting in a tightening of the skin, reduction of pores and an overall improvement in skin quality. Microtox is suitable for all skin types and ages, and is particularly popular for special occasions as it provides fast results with no recovery time. The effect lasts for around three months and the treatment can be performed without affecting other planned skincare treatments.
Similarities between Microtox and Prohfilo
- Both treatments improve the appearance and quality of the skin, as well as adding radiance and moisture
- Both microtox and Profhilo use hyaluronic acid as a key component of treatment
- Neither microtox nor Profhilo are primarily intended to treat deep wrinkles, but focus more on the overall quality and appearance of the skin
- Both treatments have minimal recovery time and give quick results
- Both microtox and Profhilo stimulate the skin's own production of collagen and elastin
Popular treatments with several differences
- Content: microtox contains a mixture of botox, hyaluronic acid and vitamins, while Profhilo consists of a high concentration of stabilised hyaluronic acid alone
- Method of application: Microtox is applied using a stamping technique with small gold-plated needles in the outermost layer of the skin, while Profhilo is injected with a thin needle at specific points in the area to be treated
- Effect on muscles: Microtox has no significant effect on muscles and mimicry, while Profhilo has no effect on muscles at all
- Treatment interval: Microtox effect lasts for about 3 months, while Profhilo usually lasts for 6-8 months
- Specific benefits: Microtox has more specific effects such as reducing pores and sweat production, while Profhilo focuses more on restoring skin moisture balance and volume
What suits you best?
Both microtox and Profhilo are modern skin treatments that improve the quality and appearance of the skin. They share several similarities, such as the use of hyaluronic acid, minimal recovery time and the ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production. However, they differ in content, application method and duration.
Microtox, which contains a blend of Botox, hyaluronic acid and vitamins, is applied superficially and provides fast results, focusing on radiance, pore reduction and sweat reduction. It is ideal for people who want a quick refresh for special occasions.
Profhilo, on the other hand, uses only highly concentrated hyaluronic acid and is injected deeper into the skin. It provides a longer-lasting effect, focusing on deep moisturisation and volume restoration. This makes Profhilo ideal for those seeking more comprehensive skin rejuvenation and improvement of skin texture over time.
The choice between these treatments depends on individual needs and preferences. Microtox may be better for younger people or those looking for quick, subtle improvements, while Profhilo may be more suitable for those looking to address signs of ageing and skin quality at a deeper level. For optimal skin care, these treatments can also be combined to achieve both immediate and long-term results.
