LED light therapy
LED light therapy is a relatively new form of treatment that many have already taken to heart. You probably recognise the white plastic mask with the red light. In the past, LED light therapy treatment was only available at dermatologists and salons for the treatment of various skin conditions. Today, Dr Nina is pleased to offer a mask for home use. The technology gives great results over time, which is why it is so good to be able to use at home instead of going to a therapist every time. By investing in an LED mask, the possibilities for the really nice results increase and it also becomes financially beneficial.
LED light therapy is good for
The LED mask is appreciated by most people who try it, so it is no wonder that it is so popular. Some of the many problems that light therapy has an effect on are:
- acne
- Melasma
- Oily skin
- Wrinkles
- Uneven skin tone
- Sun damage
How many lamps does Dr Nina's LED light therapy mask contain?
The mask contains 128 high-quality LED lamps, which are divided into 64 groups. Each group contains lamps of the different wavelengths:
- Red light: 630 nm
- Infrared light: 830 nm
- Blue light: 430 nm
How it works
Did you know that it was actually NASA that first developed the technique of using light at different wavelengths? It was when they experimented with growing plants in space that they discovered that the technology also had a positive effect on wound healing. Today, LED is a safe and effective method used in clinics and homes all over the world. LED light contains no ultraviolet rays and is therefore safe to use regularly.
The mask's light energy targets the different layers of the skin in a totally non-invasive way and is absorbed by the cells' mitochondria. As a result, the cells create more energy and increase their production of collagen and elastin.
The different colours of LED light therapy
You may have read that LED masks have different colours, each of which is good for different problems? But in fact, the only colours you need are red and blue - these cover all the areas that the different colours are sometimes said to do. The red light penetrates all the layers of the skin and the blue light treats the surface.
Effectiveness is strengthened by serious studies.
Red LED:
- Reduces wrinkles
- Diminishes signs of ageing
- Brightens up dark circles
- Evens out skin tone
- Reduces swelling
- Milds rosacea
- Reduces sun damage
Blue LED:
- Kills acne bacteria
- Reduces inflammation
Side effects of phototherapy
LED light therapy is a painless treatment without any negative side effects. On the contrary, many people who have tried the mask praise it after just a few uses and we are happy to be able to offer it in our range.
