PRF treatment for thin eyebrows

After plucking eyebrows for decades, many people feel that their eyebrows have become thinner and have difficulty growing out.

In the past, the only option was microblading, or eyebrow tattooing.

Now we finally have a more natural alternative to that - namely PRF eyebrows, which have become a popular treatment in clinics internationally, and for good reason!

Basically, PRF (short for platelet-rich fibrin) is extracted from your own blood and then injected into the eyebrows to promote growth and fullness. It's a natural and proven way to bring back or improve the volume of the brows.

In this guide, we'll go over all the basics you need to know before booking your PRF eyebrow treatment. We'll talk about what PRF is, how it's used for eyebrows and what kind of results you can expect. We'll also go over how to choose the best PRF clinic, as well as any risks or side effects you should be aware of.

What is the PRF?

PRF stands for "Platelet Rich Fibrin." Basically, it's beneficial minerals and growth factors from your own blood, which have been shown to be good for promoting healing and growth.

When you receive a PRF eyebrow treatment, a small amount of your blood is drawn and then processed to extract PRF. This PRF is then injected into the eyebrows to stimulate hair follicles to regenerate, which in turn increases hair growth.

How PRF is extracted from the blood

During a PRF treatment, a small amount of blood is taken from the arm using a needle, just like when you give blood in a doctor's surgery. The blood is then placed in a special tube and spun in a machine called a centrifuge.

The centrifuge helps to separate the different components of the blood. The PRF is the gold-coloured layer of the blood that remains after the centrifugation process, which is filled with all the good stuff we want.
