One of the most fun things we do at Dr Nina is to keep up to date with new treatment methods from all over the world, and perhaps especially the USA where they are often at the forefront of the latest in skin treatments and regenerative medicine. And exosomes are predicted to be an important part of future treatments. Therefore, we are pleased to already be able to offer treatments with exosomes from our own blood here in Gothenburg!

What are exosomes?
Exosomes are bubble-like nanoparticles that help cells in the body communicate, they are like little messengers that send important information between cells and tell them how to behave. Put simply.
What makes these tiny particles so interesting is that they are loaded with growth factors, which signal to skin and stem cells to increase their functions!

Why exosomes work
Regenerative medicine is all about using the body's own cells to promote healing and regeneration. It's very much of the moment - more and more customers are asking for more natural treatments, and there's nothing better than 100% natural treatments using materials from your own body. These treatments lead to the 'healing' of ageing skin, resulting in healthy skin cell regeneration and younger-looking skin.
Exosomes are a safe and natural treatment at Dr Nina as we extract the exosomes from your own blood. There are also plant-based and synthetic exosomes on the market, but it is much better to use your own exosomes.
How Dr Nina treats with exosomes
Treatment starts with a doctor or nurse taking a blood sample from your vein. The blood is carefully filtered to extract exosomes, which are applied to the skin for treatment using the dermapen, or injected with a cannula.
We offer two different treatments with exosomes:
- Exosomes with the dermapen: In this treatment, we extract exosomes and apply them to the skin instead of other, more common serums used in dermapenesis. After just one treatment with exosomes, you can achieve what you would otherwise need up to three treatments with PRP, all because exosomes contain such a high concentration of growth factors.
- Deep restoration 6 ml: In this treatment, we use Cannula and inject exosomes under the skin. About 5-6 ml of exosomes are extracted - exosome rich plasma - which we can place on the desired areas, such as under the eyes, cheeks and nasolabial folds. Even with this method, the results are comparable to three treatments with PRP and are visible after about 1 to 3 months.
You are usually satisfied with the results, but if you want to improve the skin quality further, you can repeat it after three months.
